Yammer

We’ve moved the blog to Yammer! Log in and follow the Calgary Campus Wellness Centre.

Construction Update

Construction begins on Friday!  We will be knocking down walls and installing HVAC units to make your workout space better.  Please see attached poster for information on immediate closures.

Visit goto/wellnesscalendar on your intranet to view our most up to date group exercise schedule.

Fall Registered Classes

Looking for ideas for Registered Programs for the fall. What would you like to see? We will be having our regular yoga, kickboxing and pilates, but is there something else you would like us try to get going? Let me know.

Would anyone be interested in a registered class that teaches you the principles of fitness, how to do exercises correctly, and how to put a program together for yourself?

Methods for Reducing Back Pain workshop

Thank you to those who came to the “Methods for Reducing Back Pain” workshop today.  I hope you could take something away from what we covered.  The power point is on our website under resources.  If you need explanations about the rolling, stretches or exercises, feel free to stop by the fitness centre 🙂

We have been having “Sustainable Me” workshops/presentations once a month for a few months already.  Let us know what you would like to know more about.  So far, we have covered…”Sleep”, “Diabetes and Physical Activity”, Get your head in the game”, “Back Pain” and finally “Methods for reducing back pain”.  These power points can be found on our website at www.505QPWellness.ca, under Resources.

Sustainable Me – Practical workshop on Reducing Back Pain

Apologies to those who went to the Sustainable Me session on “Practical Ways to Reduce Back Pain” yesterday.  The date was changed and the change was not reflected anywhere except for the electronic signs.  I did not even think to post this change in yammer or on our website 🙁
The actual date for this workshop is next Wed at 1 pm in Summit room 1.  I hope those that were there yesterday can make it next week and for those who did not attend yesterday, can clear their schedule and attend next Wed.
